As an entrepreneur who lives and breathes telecommunications, William’s prolific career in the field first began with Tricom in Hong Kong. This was followed by a role as Director of Customers Division at SmarTone Mobile Communications Limited. William joined HKBN in 2005 as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing customer engagement, relationship management and network development. In 2008, William was appointed as Chief Executive Officer with the responsibility of developing corporate strategies and overseeing operations. He then became Executive Vice-chairman in September 2018, stepping up to focus on engaging key strategic partners and exploring new business opportunities for the Group. Since 2013, with William playing a prominent role in a sequence of important acquisitions, HKBN has transformed into a leading integrated telecom and technology solutions provider.

William holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Hong Kong Baptist University, a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Strathclyde, U.K., and a Master of Science Degree in Electronic Commerce and Internet Computing from The University of Hong Kong. In 2010, William was recognised as a Champion of Human Resources by The Hong Kong HRM Awards.
