Tay Yeow Lian
Yeow Lian is currently the Managing Director for Singtel’s Singapore Networks.
He leads the technology and business transformation of Singtel Singapore’s network infrastructure platforms, processes and people to enable delivery of innovative and differentiated products, distinctive customer experience, whilst maintaining network superiority, quality, resiliency and security.
Yeow Lian spearheaded the successful rollout of Singtel’s first digital mobile network (GSM) in 1993/94. Subsequently, he expanded his roles and portfolios with several stints overseas – NetCom (Norway), AIS (Thailand) and Optus (Australia) in various positions from radio planning engineer to Engineering Consultant, General Manager of Mobile Data/VAS, and VP of Product Development.
Back in Singapore from 2009, Yeow Lian held successful role in leading IPTV and Fixed Core Engineering as a VP between 2009 and 2010. He was appointed the Group VP, Mobile Core Engineering (Singapore & Australia) in 2011 to lead an integrated planning team in Spore and Australia to expand the 3G/LTE networks. In 2015, Yeow Lian was appointed Managing Director of Networks Singapore, responsible for the engineering planning and operations of the 4 main core services in Fixed Network, Broadband, TV and Mobile Networks, supporting both Group Consumer and Group Enterprise.
Yeow Lian is a proud alumnus of Nanyang Technological University, holding a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
